Day 1
Yellowknife
Fly over to Toronto and connect onwards to Yellowknife, the gateway to the Northwest Territories. Upon arrival, transfer independently to your hotel where you will have the remainder of the day at leisure. Known as the diamond capital of North America, Yellowknife offers lots of exciting activities such as the Snowking’s Winter Festival.
Day 2
Blachford Lodge by Arctic Kingdom
This morning, depart on an unforgettable scenic journey northward to the lodge over the Canadian Taiga shield. Upon arrival at the lodge, you will have time to settle down after checking in before a welcome reception and lunch. This evening you will have your first incredible night of Aurora viewing.
Day 3
Blachford Lodge by Arctic Kingdom
Take the time to discover all the activities that are available during your stay. You can enjoy the lodge’s facilities such as the hot tub or the sauna. Alternatively, you can use the seasonal equipment provided by the lodge including canoes, kayaks, SUP boards, fat tire bikes, hiking trails and yoga equipment.
Day 4
Blachford Lodge by Arctic Kingdom
With two daily guided activities or craft workshops included, there is an adventure for every taste at the lodge. Local artisans conduct handicraft seminars, while the history of the land and its settlements are revealed. Make sure to plan your stay around your nightly northern lights viewings.
Day 5-6
Yellowknife
After breakfast, check out and proceed to the dock for your return flight back to Yellowknife. The next couple of days will be at leisure for you to discover the Northwest Territories’ capital. Explore the old town and learn more about this region of Canada at the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre.
Day 7-9
Toronto
Your adventure in the Northwest Territories comes to an end. Today you will travel to Toronto, Canada’s largest city. The next three days will be at leisure for you to discover the city’s iconic landmarks from the soaring CN Tower to the scenic shores of Lake Ontario. Why not include a day trip to the world-famous Niagara Falls?
Day 10
Fly Home
Today marks the last day of your Canadian holiday. You will have time for some last-minute shopping, Toronto is home to the Eaton Centre where you will find something for everyone. With world-class dining and countless museums, there is plenty to keep you busy until your return flight home.
