Calgary
On arrival to Calgary International Airport, transfer independently to your hotel.
Banff National Park
Pick up up your motorhome and after having stocked up on groceries, it’s time to leave the city behind for the great outdoors. Journey to Banff National Park, Canada’s oldest national park is famous for its unparalleled mountain scenery and jagged mountain peaks. You have two full days to explore the park. Take the gondola up Sulphur Mountain, try the hot pools, stroll down Banff Avenue and check out the stores, visit Two Jack Lake, Lake Minnewanka, Vermillion Lakes, Johnston Canyon, and impressive Banff Hotel.
Radium Hot Springs
Today you’re entering Kootenay National Park. Along the route to Radium Hot Springs you’ll find many short and easy interpretive hikes, scenic viewpoints, hot springs, picnic areas, and roadside interpretive exhibits.
Golden
In the Columbia Valley the Columbia River and the Kootenay River flow south. All around you will be forest and wilderness, gateways to the back country and a few small towns, like Brisco. The area features unique views of the Columbia River wetlands and is the main access to the world-famous Bugaboo Mountains.
Lake Louise
Leave Golden behind and follow the steep canyons of the Kicking Horse Pass into Yoho National Park home to the impressive Wapta Falls and stunning Emerald Lake. Visit Moraine Lake and Valley of the Ten Peaks and marvel at the beauty of Lake Louise.
Cline River
The Icefields Parkway, rated as one of the top drives in the world, leads you in the direction of Jasper National Park through soaring rocky mountain peaks and vast sweeping valleys. Enjoy the views of Herbert Lake and Hector Lake and make a stop at Bow Lake and Peyto Lake.
Jasper National Park
Today you continue driving the Icefields Parkway with spectacular sightseeing of pristine turquoise lakes, tumbling waterfalls and ancient glaciers. Along the stretch, big horn sheep, deer, black bears, and coyotes are frequently spotted. Enjoy two full days to explore Jasper National Park. Defined by glaciers, lakes and mountains, Jasper National Park has a lot to offer! Take the Jasper SkyTram, the longest and highest in Canada, and enjoy the views. Marvel at the breath-taking scenery at Patricia Lake and Pyramid Lake or swim in the warm waters of Lake Edith and Lake Annette. Take a cruise on Maligne Lake and relax in Miette Hot Springs.
Rocky Mountain House
Journey through dense forests that hug the eastern slopes of the Rockies into the aspen parkland around Rocky Mountain House. The town has a long history dating to the 18th century with the presence of British and Canadian fur traders and many explorers such as David Thompson, in search for a passage west to the Pacific Ocean. Many travellers used this location as a stop on their way farther west or northwest, just like you today in the 21st century!
Kananaskis
Highway 22 is known as the Cowboy Trail. Lined with working and guest ranches, horseback trail rides and rodeos, located in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies, this is some of Alberta's prettiest country. The Kananaskis is a collection of over 10 provincial parks and wildlife reserves.
